Becoming a Member

 Dear Potential New Member,

Becoming a Phi Kap is a unique and life changing experience. Becoming a member does not always start with the typical "rush" week. If you are interested in joining, or just seeing what we have to offer, feel free to come by our house on Fraternity Row and meet some of the brothers. Fall Rush will begin on September 8, 2008 and end with Bid Day on September 14, 2008. You will get to meet the active members of Phi Kap, while enjoying your time at free events for the entire week. If you meet our recruitment criteria and formally receive and accept a bid, you will enter the New Member process. This is an 8 week program where you will learn what it means to become a "Man of Honor." Throughout the semester, New Members will participate in meetings, fund raising, philanthropy, and social events planned by the active members of Phi Kappa Sigma. Upon completion of the New Member process you will attend an initiation ceremony and receive all the benefits of an initiated member. Phi Kappa Sigma is where you will gain valuable real life leadership experience and lifelong friendships. At the end of your time in college, my hope is that you can take with you some of the valuable skills and personal growth opportunities that you will hopefully gain by pursuing membership into our fraternity. Come see what 53 years of tradition at UNT has to offer!

 Sincerely,

Daniel Triplett
